Blackbeard Bests Bostock! December 5, 1717: Thache overtakes the merchant sloop Margaret off the coast of Anguilla near Crab Island. Her captain, Henry Bostock, and his crew, remain Thache's prisoners for about eight hours, and are forced to watch as their sloop is ransacked.
